B-B-Boulder Christmas Bird Count

Wow, it was cold! But what a gorgeous day anyway. I joined Bill Schmoker, the compiler for the 67th annual Boulder Christmas Bird Count, Mike Freiberg, Dan Maynard, and David Alcock. We spent the day darting in and out of the Original Pancake House to look for birds. Our second bird of the day up Sugarloaf Canyon area was a very chilly Brown Thrasher.

We walked a three mile loop in the Betasso Open Space. You can see the Mountain Lion warning sign below, but they were smarter than us and stayed comfy in their sleeping spots. Our high temperature of the day was 5 degrees.

Birds were scarce, but the scenery and company was the best!
